The meter comes with a sliding potentiometer inside connected to the door. Over the years your original car's potentiometer's magnetic coating wares out, and contact sliders cannot pick up a correct signal about the door position. As a result your DME is confused. The most common simptoms are erratical idle movement up and down (Add to Cart) $379.50
This part is critical to the performance of your engine as well as stopping power of your brakes. If this unit leaks air, it will rain havic on your engine, making it work lean, wearing out all your componnents, making clanking noises from "lean" driving. Why all that important? The rubber over the years becomes dry and brittle from exposure to extreme temperature. It cracks in many microscopic places letting air in, the math is as follows; If you combine all microscopic holes together from this unit into one hole, it will make a hole at least a quarter of an inch in diameter. (Add to Cart) $60.00 ![]() This is an original set of Porsche wires for 944. The original factory's choice (Add to Cart) $4.50 each ![]() This is an original 944 distributor. The catch is, you will get it with an internal dust plate. We found this plate to be missing or cracked in many 944s. It must be replaced. Here is why. The dust plate insulates the cam sprocket from the distributors inner environment. If not insulated, the air inside the distributor cap is ionized by high current, allowing this air to conduct electricity. Without a plate, it will "arch" to the sprocket's metal surface. Symtoms are high speed miss-fires (Add to Cart) $46.50
Oem rotor. Prefferably be replaced with the distributor cup, since they wear equaly together (Add to Cart) $41.00 ![]() This is revised Bosch coil, or a "hot coil". We had a 944 with an old but working coil mistify our staff. It was stalling at high speed. After long observation it was concluded; when it was driven hard, the old coil got hot, and perculated some condensation that had accumulated inside over the years. As a result, boiling vapor was poping out the high voltage wire, just like a bottle kork. Go figure! (Add to Cart) $68.50 ![]() It does go bad, but you will never know about it. Intermitten "rich" condition associated with excessive fuel consumption. (Add to Cart) $58.50 ![]() Same as above. If not functioning, it will run rich with some mufler popping on deceleration. Uneven fuel distribution between injectors, and fouled plugs as well as fouled oxygen sensor. (Add to Cart) $60.00 ![]() Goes bad all the time from oil contamination. Symptoms; RPM momentarely goes down too low at the stop, and rises up immediately. Better evident when driving with your A/C turned on (Add to Cart) $148.00 ![]() Reference sensor. By it self never goes bad. However, it's connectors do, and quite often. Please indicate the model and year when ordering (Add to Cart) $95.00 ea.

Must be changed every 20000 miles or less (Add to Cart) $28.50 ![]() If you feel your car has no power and weak on acceleration, your oxygen sensor could be the problem. If you are still driving with your original sensor, and have over 100,000 miles, it's a good time to change it. This switch will activate your fan earlier than the stock switch, allowing cooler driving. Protect your engine from high temperature (Add to Cart) $19.00 ![]() Most senders lie about your oil pressure. It is mainly due to the inner contamination from oil deposits. When substituting regular oil for senthetic, older pressure sender will read unusualy low pressure. Real low oil pressure is evident by extremely rough idle, and stumbling (Add to Cart) $67.00 ![]() This unusual looking unit is located on the back of your engine under the itake manifold. One vacuum line is connected to the throttle body, and another to the fuel tank canister vapor evacuation valve. We found broken prongs in many cases, allowing air sip into the throttle body leanning out the fuel mixture, and rendering this switch inoperable. This little thermo switch will prevent vapor lock by opening the valve and allowing fuel vapor to be removed from the fuel tank. We found the slight smell of fresh gas present when this valve is compromised. When checking under the hood, always check to see if the rubber boot from the vacuum line is still attached to these prongs. The vacuum line can be easily pulled out when taking out the yellow oil filler cup. (Add to Cart) $33.00 ![]() This little sender sends information to your cluster temperature reader. When you see your needle jumping or being unsteady, it is a good time to change this unit. Be prepaired to be soaked with anifreeze when installing this unit. Have lots of drop-cloth ready in place. Another choice is to open a pressure release screw on the top of your engine, before taking this unit out. (Add to Cart) $39.50 ![]() This is a temperature sensor. The information from this sensor travels directly to your DME unit. Based on received information, DME desides to inrich or lean out the mixture. IMPORTANT NOTE: many DME chips are programmed to interfere between the reading of this sensor, and your DME unit, by telling the DME unit "the sensor reports "Cold Engine" condition" even though the engine is hot. In turn, the DME unit creates a "rich" condition, allowing a little faster operation by fooling your plugs, oxygen sensor, and exhaust valves. Stay away from these chips! When buying an unknown manufacturrer's chip, always ask for details of it's operation (Add to Cart) $31.50 ![]() If this unit is stuck, you will be "cooking" inside your car in the summer or freezing in the winter.
